Doctor of Optometry
Dolores "Dee" Fraire, OD, is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry in Boston,MA. As a Health Professions Scholar, she proudly served in the US Army for over 8 years. Her duties included a tour as chief of the Optometry Clinic at the Supreme Headquarters of the Allied Powers of Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium. There she had the distinct honor of serving the optometric needs of the soldiers of the countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). She also served as the chief of the Optometry Clinic in Taegu, Korea, and its two satellite clinics which supported the Army soldiers serving south of Seoul. She also acted as adjunct professor to University of Houston School of Optometry externs and directed the Contact Lens Program at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Dr. Fraire transitioned from the Army to the Shelton community in 1999 where she continues her career in optometric service. She is a member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington and the American Optometric Association, and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Her service has also included Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and Eye Care for the Homeless. Her husband's and her interests include travel, reading, volunteering, movies, and playing with her rescued canine.
